Free Flight to Japan?

Too good to be true? Sky Limo Air Charter has found out some of the details behind this offer for a free trip to Japan. According to UK’s Telegraph, Japan will be giving away 10,000 foreigners free airfare tickets to visit their country next year. The goal is to boost tourism since it has taken a dive because of all the latest natural disasters. The number of foreign travelers has dived to over 50% less after the March 11th earthquake and tsunami and the explosion at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

The Japan Tourism Agency is planning to ask the future visitors to submit online applications for their free flight to Japan. The tourism agency will ask the foreigners to detail the area of Japan they would like to visit and ask them to also commit to writing a report of their trip that will later be published online. The idea behind this tactic is that the Japan Tourism Agency will get positive reviews to help make international visitors comfortable about taking a trip to Japan. This is expected to start in April 2012 so check out the Japan Tourism Agency’s website for more updates on the program.
