The New Boeing Dreamliner

Just recently, according to MSN, the much-anticipated Boeing 787 Dreamliner took its first flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong. The commercial flight was mostly made up of aviation reporters and enthusiasts that paid thousands of dollars to board that first flight. The newest Boeing is 20% more fuel efficient than other commercial planes, has 30% larger windows (that come with glare-reducing systems), better lighting and more overhead space (every passenger can have one carry-on). Its air pressure and humidity levels are closer to what’s found on the ground, allegedly easing up jet lag. The humidity is said to be at 16% with a cabin pressurized at a lower level, supposedly leaving travelers with less headaches and more energy.

According to MSN, this new Boeing 787 is supposed to provide nonstop routes for cities that typically don’t have them, because it can hold a smaller number of travelers (200 or so) compared to other Boeings that have the capacity to fly 800 people. Larger planes aren’t always profitable, but the Dreamliner will make it possible with routes like San Francisco to Manchester or England to Boston.

The Boeing 787 might be fuel efficient and provide extra perks, but there’s still nothing like flying on a private jet with a private aviation company. It’s comfort at its best, with tons of flexibility, luxury and concierge services to help you with your trip.

Avoid Newark Airport When Possible

The Wall Street Journal reports that 40 out of 100 most delayed flights in the U.S. depart or arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport. This according to data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The two flights that are typically delayed most often at Newark Airport are the 5 PM and 6:25 PM flight Atlanta-bound flight operated by Delta. Even with half an hour extra padding, the 5 PM flight was still 30 minutes late on six out of every 10 trips. One of the problems is the traffic over Washington DC. The overall rate of on-time flights at Newark Airport has decreased in the past few years. Only 76.6% percent of flights arrived on time through May 2011. Even with fewer planes in the air, it’s still not the best situation at Newark.

If you’re going to fly to Newark Liberty International Airport, then why not do it with Sky Limo Air Charter. Guarantee yourself a pleasant flight with tons of luxurious perks and on-time departure as well as arrival by chartering a private jet. If you haven’t worked with a private aviation company before, then prepare to be amazed. Think legroom. Think privacy. Think jet concierge services to help you with your reservations. Health Insurance When Traveling

You might have booked you hotel, prepared your suitcase, booked your car rental, even reserved you own private jet for a flight in the Bahamas, but Sky Limo Air Charter is here to remind you that you might want to also check your healthcare coverage regarding traveling.
Accidents can happen anywhere, at home, at work or when you’re traveling. And checking into an emergency room somewhere like the Bahamas for example is different than walking into a hospital close to home. Insurance plans and the coverage vary from provider to even the actual member. It’s important that you ask your insurance provider what your benefits are when you travel outside the country, Ask about what kind of out of pocket costs can you expect in the event of an emergency room trip or hospitalization even. You never know and you want to be prepared. Figure out if you have an HMO or a PPO plan and how that affects your health insurance when you’re traveling. Traveling is costly enough, so the private aviation company reminds you to double check your coverage because you might have to get additional one temporarily.

Commercial Airline Being Sued: Part 1

The staff at Sky Limo Air Charter, your luxury private aviation company, just found out that a very unhappy commercial airline passenger is suing American Airline for $5 million. This Pierce County, Washington local is so frustrated over a fee and a lost bag that she’s taking matters into court. The class action complaint filed in federal court says “the airline has breached its agreements with its passengers every time they have lost or delayed luggage and failed to refund the passengers their baggage fee.” American Airlines is disputing the passenger’s version of events and stress the fact that passengers can always request a fee refund as part of a baggage claim. Court papers say the passenger paid $25 back in May for flights from Seattle, Washington to Grand Rapids, Michigan, but the bag wasn’t found when the traveler arrived. American Airlines informed her that they didn’t know where the bag was or if it would ever be returned. The passenger says she asked what can American Airlines do and she was told nothing could be done. Sky Limo found out the items in the bag were estimated at $800 and the passenger spent $300 for additional clothes and toiletries.
