Avoid Newark Airport When Possible

The Wall Street Journal reports that 40 out of 100 most delayed flights in the U.S. depart or arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport. This according to data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. The two flights that are typically delayed most often at Newark Airport are the 5 PM and 6:25 PM flight Atlanta-bound flight operated by Delta. Even with half an hour extra padding, the 5 PM flight was still 30 minutes late on six out of every 10 trips. One of the problems is the traffic over Washington DC. The overall rate of on-time flights at Newark Airport has decreased in the past few years. Only 76.6% percent of flights arrived on time through May 2011. Even with fewer planes in the air, it’s still not the best situation at Newark.

If you’re going to fly to Newark Liberty International Airport, then why not do it with Sky Limo Air Charter. Meanest Airline?

2010 was a great year for the airline industry, with U.S.airlines recording the highest profits in more than 10 years. Every airline except for American Airlines had positive profits for that year. However, because of increasing baggage fees, airfare increase, elimination of free food and other factors, customers weren’t happy. According to a Business Insider study, four major U.S. carriers made their way onto the 18 worst companies in America. The meanest major carrier was United. It had the second highest customer complaint rate of all airlines in 2010. The meanest regional carrier was American Eagle. The major contributing factors for the title was that they had the most incidents of mishandled baggage and the highest involuntary denied boarding rate in 2010. The most complained about airline was Delta. Off all the 2011 Airline Quality Rating report, it had the highest complaint rate. JetBlue won the most likely to be unsafe title, with 17 documented incidents out of 219,000 flights in 2010. Finally Delta, US Airways and Continental were all dubbed most likely to overcharge for bags.
For a great flying experience, with the kindest most helpful service, forget flying on commercial airlines. Try chartering a private jet with Sky Limo Air Charter. You won’t encounter any of the problems and hassles you might have to deal with when you fly on US carriers.

Worst Airports This Summer

If you’re not going to be chartering a private jet for some of your trips this summer and dealing with a better service at the airports and executive airports, Sky Limo suggests you read below to get familiar with some of the most congested airport during this busy season. According to Forbes.com, here’s the latest on some of the most popular airports in America. The main runway at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York has been shut down for major renovations for a few months now and will be closed until July. Miami International Airport is gradually opening a mile-long terminal, but the passenger train serving it won’t be operational until fall. There’s a huge highway project reportedly “snarling traffic” at Dallas-Fort Worth International airport. In Chicago, the main road into Midway International Airport is being reconstructed and repaved. Newark Airport is also repaving. Thunderstorms during the summer season also plays a part, shutting down critical airspace and adding to the delays. New York City and Chicago are major hubs typically affected by the rippling effect.

To escape the madness at the airports during the months of June, July and August, just book a private aircraft with Sky Limo Air Charter and enjoy the hassle-free experience at the airport not to mention all the perks a private jet flight can offer.

Things You Wouldn’t Hear From a Baggage Handler

Smartmoney.com had an interesting article about baggage handlers of commercial airlines. The article listed all the truths they would never tell you, like for example, that they’re losing less bags, because there are less bags to lose. According to the Department of Transportation there were 3.91 ‘mishandled’ (lost, stolen or damaged) bags per 1,000 passengers in 2009, compared to 5.26 in 2008 and 7.05 the year before that. However, this decrease in lost bags is due to the decrease in less passengers. Another thing baggage handler would never tell you is “We can handle your pet, but can they handle us?” When flying cargo pets can be exposed to loud noises and extreme temperatures and the mere separation from the owner can also be difficult for them. So make sure you understand the airlines’ policy about pets flying so you can find out whether or not your pet can withstand the experience. Baggage handlers will never tell you that they don’t actually work that hard. Most of the luggage check-in work is done by machines along with the heavy lifting. The conveyor belt and other systems do most of the work, depending on the size of the airport.

For a satisfying flying experience, try chartering a private jet with Sky Limo Air Charter. You’ll enjoy you luxurious and comfortable flight, arrive safe and rested, with your bags next to you, and your pet if he or she needs to come along for the ride. Enjoy flying on a private aircraft for business or pleasure.

Delta Airlines Loses Dog

Delta Airlines Loses Dog
At Sky Limo Air Charter, we typically hear of commercial airlines losing passengers’ suitcases amongst other passenger complaints like lack of space and bad customer service, but this time we just learned from CNN that Delta Air Lines lost a passenger’s dog. Josiah Allen says his dog Paco didn’t return home with him when he recently flew from Mexico to Seaforth, Canada. Delta is saying the dog escaped from a carrier on the tarmac. A Delta spokesperson said the dog broke out of a dog carrier at the airport in Mexico City and that the staff has conducted exhaustive searches to locate the dog. The commercial airline has compensated Paco’s owner for all the expenses associated with the dog. Allen does say though that he was asked to sign a waiver saying the airline would’t be reliable for any injuries the dog might suffer because the carrier was too small. Allen signed the waiver because Paco had slept in it for the last three nights.
If you’re traveling with a dear pet, think of chartering a private jet. You’ll both be comfortable and arrive on time at your destination. You won’t have to deal with any hassles typically related with airports and commercial airlines.
