The Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance Featuring Sky Limo

This past weekend, February 25-27, 2011, Sky Limo was a proud participant at the 5th Annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance. The event was held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club and is a fund raising effort for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. In addition to the 3-day luxury affair’s annual events, this year’s Concours d’Elegance also honored the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. Jay Leno was this year’s host, and the weekend was successful in raising $3 million for charity.

The Concours d’Elegance kicked off Friday evening at the Boca Raton Airport, with a Hangar party hosted by the DuPont Registry. Sky Limo was represented at the show via their nicest jet, a Gulfstream G200 N35BP. In addition to aircraft, Indy cars, exotic cars, luxury boats, and custom motorcycles were among some of the other features at the DuPont Registry Live. Wine tastings, cocktails, and live entertainment rounded out the first evening of the philanthropic weekend event.

Saturday evening was a gala dinner and auction at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The auction contained brand new luxury automobiles yet to be seen by the public, available for purchase by the event’s guests. Also, in honor of the Indianapolis 500’s Anniversary, vintage Indy racing cars were also auctioned. Jay Leno hosted the evening, following in the footsteps of past hosts Bill Cosby, Howie Mandel, and Dennis Miller.

The pinnacle of the Concours d’Elegance came Sunday with the collector’s show consisting of over 200 classic automobiles & motorcycles. Automobile aficionado Jay Leno was on hand to present the finest automobile with The Jay Leno Big Dog Garage Award. Car lovers from all over gathered at the Boca Raton Resort & Club to celebrate the heritage and the history of the automobile.

Sky Limo has singularly raised over $35,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, and is enthusiastically involved in the well being of the area’s youth. As Sky Limo owner Tom Conlan explains, “to enhance the lives of our young people and to be a part of helping them reach their full potential, we continue to do as much as we can with the Boys and Girls Clubs—that’s what this is all about.”
