Titanic Tourism

According to Bing online, in Branson, Mo and Pigeon Forge, Tenn, you can find sister exhibits about the Titanic in the “Titanic: World’s largest Museum Attraction.” Tourists feel like they’re really on the 1912 ship. Visitors can walk the grand staircase, send an SOS, climb aboard the lifeboats, shovel coal into the furnace, listen to the captain’s commands and even feel like the ship is sinking. There’s more Titanic tourism. At the Titanic Artifact Exhibition at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas visitors can see a wide variety of objects and personal items that were recovered from the wreck. In Washington DC, there’s a tall granite sculpture that resembles the famous shipboard pose Kate Winslet had in the 1997 movie. The sculpture is the Titanic Memorial, erected in 1931 by the Women’s Titanic Memorial Association.
If you’re interested in Titanic Tourism, know that Sky Limo Air Charter can take you on a private jet ride to any of those destinations. You’ll fly comfortably and enjoy a flexible schedule, so you can come and go as you please.

Innovations on How We Fly

Flying is very different these days, with multiple security tools including full body scans, fees for pillows and blankets not to mention luggage and everything in between. But there are quite a few innovations that are making flying and traveling a little better. Starting with of course the ultimate, flying on a private jet. By flying on a private aircraft a passenger can bypass a lot of the hassles that come with flying on commercial airlines. If you’d like to try the luxury experience of flying on a private flight, call Sky Limo to book your private jet. Another innovation is frequent flyer cards embedded with smart technology that can operate as a permanent boarding pass. There’s a push for social media in the London Gatwick Airport as a tool for 24 hour response. Spirit Airlines is giving travelers transparent fees. Cathay Pacific is hoping to be the first airline to have its entire fleet outfitted with wifi by 2012. Three Chinese airlines are looking to give passengers in-flight mobile coverage and another airline, ANA, offered in-flight draft beer.

Commercial Airline Being Sued: Part 2

Sky Limo continues to bring you the facts surrounding the $5 million lawsuit against commercial airline, American Airlines. For more background information and context refer back to Commercial Airline Being Sued: Part 1.
The passenger who’s suing says she asked to be refunded immediately for her lost bag but was denied. American Airlines says that the incident happened on a flight form Chicago, Illinois, on the second leg of the traveler’s trip to Michigan, because American Airlines doesn’t have flights from Seattle to Grand Rapids. Her flight was canceled so American Airlines booked the passenger on another flight. When she arrived in Grand Rapids, Michigan she realized her bag was missing and spoke with the other airline about the issue. The bag was found and delivered to her the next day by that airline’s representative. American Airline says that there are no records of the passenger contacting them about delayed bag or a claim or a checked bag charge. Sky Limo will keep you posted on how this story unfolds.
In the meantime, if you don’t want to deal with lost bags, just fly on a private jet with Sky Limo Air Charter and enjoy a comfortable and luxurious flight.

Commercial Airline Being Sued: Part 1

The staff at Sky Limo Air Charter, your luxury private aviation company, just found out that a very unhappy commercial airline passenger is suing American Airline for $5 million. This Pierce County, Washington local is so frustrated over a fee and a lost bag that she’s taking matters into court. The class action complaint filed in federal court says “the airline has breached its agreements with its passengers every time they have lost or delayed luggage and failed to refund the passengers their baggage fee.” American Airlines is disputing the passenger’s version of events and stress the fact that passengers can always request a fee refund as part of a baggage claim. Court papers say the passenger paid $25 back in May for flights from Seattle, Washington to Grand Rapids, Michigan, but the bag wasn’t found when the traveler arrived. American Airlines informed her that they didn’t know where the bag was or if it would ever be returned. The passenger says she asked what can American Airlines do and she was told nothing could be done. Sky Limo found out the items in the bag were estimated at $800 and the passenger spent $300 for additional clothes and toiletries.

Top Hotels According to Survey

CNN posted an article online that featured the most recent results from a survey of 53,000 people who stayed in hotels any time between May 2009 and June 2010.
J.D. Power and Associates 2010 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study found that people generally liked wi-fi, complimentary breakfast, comfortable bedding and pillow choices, pillow-top mattresses, consistent high service and free parking. Hotel guests also preferred to directly book their room with the hotels and not a random independent website. When it came to individual hotel chains, the study showed that The Ritz-Carlton ranked highest in overall satisfaction in the luxury hotel category, followed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and JW Marriott. In the upscale segment, Omni Hotels, Embassy Suites and Renaissance Hotels and Resorts were the top three. Hilton Garden Inn was rated top for mid-scale and Drury Inn and Suites was top in the middle-scale limited service segment.

And this information is based on findings from J.D. Power and Associates 2010 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study that was just recently released. Guests, allegedly, are happier and more satisfied this year compared to 2009, especially when it came to cost of their stay, the reservation process and the quality of the room. J. D. Power and Associates also found that hotel guests were happier by making reservation directly through the hotel instead of the phone or independent travel website, because twice as many of them experienced problems when booking through the web. When it came to must-have amenities, the survey showed people preferring wi-fi, complimentary breakfast, bedding and pillow choices, pillow-top mattresses and free parking as their top five choices. Any hint of cigarette was found to be a major turnoff, with 87% of respondents preferring a smoke-free environment.

Roadside Attractions Part 2:

Sky Limo continues to bring you the list of the very own wonders on the streets of America. The next roadside attraction in the US is the Benewah Milk bottles in Spokane, Washington. There are two giant bottles of milk where a once booming dairy company was headquartered. One of the bottles even played a role in a 1993 Johnny Depp movie called Benny and Joon. Biosphere 2 in Oracle, Arizona is another popular roadside attraction where visitors can learn all about the past and future of planet Earth. It looks like a spaceship elevated on a ridge almost 4,000 feet above sea level. The Blue Whale in Catoosa, Oklahoma is the bizarre sighting you’ll see along route 66. It was an anniversary gift that a husband gave his wife during the 70s. It rests in a pond that has become a watering hole for locals and visitors.
Book your private jet flight with Sky Limo Air Charter, the full service private aviation company, to see these wonderful local roadside attractions. You’ll enjoy a wonderful and comfortable journey in the friendly skies, experiencing an attraction in itself.

Roadside Attractions Part 1:

Sky Limo Air Charter loves to report on everything travel. As a private aviation company, we truly our passionate about private aircrafts, tours, the friendly skies, vacations and all things travel. Recently one of our staff members found an online article on Time.com that listed a bunch of American roadside attractions. Number one on the list was Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, Ala. There are tiny replicas, made of marble, building supplies, costume jewelry, of St. Peter’s Basilica, the leaning Tower of Pisa, the grotto of St. Theresa, the Great Wall of China and mini versions of Jerusalem, Rome and Bethlehem. Another top 50 American roadside attraction is the Beer-Can House in Houston, Texas. In 1968, a homeowner got tired of mowing his lawn that he laid marble, rock and wood into landscaping features. He then covered his house with aluminum siding made entirely of flattened beer cans. Over 18 years he attached about 50,000 beer cans including bee-garlands that hang from the roof.
If you’d like to fly on a private jet to see these one of a kind road side attractions, just book your private aircraft with Sky Limo and you’ll be well on your way on your schedule.
