How To Charter A Private Jet

Chartering a private aircraft is really simple. After all , that’s the whole point of having an aircraft all to yourself, no hassles at the airport, no headaches in the security lines, just simplicity. You should do a little research online and find a couple of professional and reliable private aviation companies like Sky Limo Air Charter for example. Read up on a few details, their fleet, the number of years they’re in business and the type o certification they have. Once you feel secure with one private jet company, call up and let them know when and where you want to go. A reputable company has knowledgeable sales consultants that can help you by giving you advice on what private aircraft would be ideal for your specific trip, depending on the destination and number of passengers too. You’ll have to think about the documents that you’ll need, especially if you’re going internationally, like passports and visas. You’ll also be responsible to submit the names of all the passengers including you for the TSA. If it’s only you that’s flying, then provide your name alone. The day of the flight, just arrive on time and get ready to enjoy what traveling should be like. Go up the stairs and into the plane and let the crew take care of everything else.

Lightweight Jets and Mid-Size Jets

Flying on a private jet no matter what size or style it has is ultra luxurious. You have a private aircraft all to yourself, you don’t have to deal with annoying security checks or any other annoyances usually related to traveling, because flying on a private aircraft is nothing like traveling on a commercial airline. But even in private aviation, there are differences. For example, generally, a lightweight private jet doesn’t carry much weight. Also the floor to the top of the fuselage may only be in the four to five foot range. However there are differences in the seating arrangements and entertainment systems from lightweight private jet to lightweight private jet. Sky Limo offers all types of lightweight jets including the Hawker 400 XP, the Learjet 31/31A, the Citation V/Ultra, the Westwind II and many more. A midsized jet offers more space. The vertical interior is usually just under 6 feet and typically these private jets offer more customization, like private lavatory, space for refreshment and heating meals and more. Sky Limo Air Charter offers passengers a wide range of midsized jets including the Hawker 800, the Citation III, the Learjet 60, the Astra and more.

Call Sky Limo for your choice of private jet whenever you need it, for leisure or business.

It’s called the Vision SF50, it’s small, fast and looks cool. It’s for the passenger who wants to go “farther, faster, higher and carry a little bit more”. The Vision SF50 has seven seats, has a maximum operating altitude of 25,000 ft and can reach the speed of approximately 350 mph. The cost of this private jet is about $1.7 million and more than 400 individuals have already put a down payment to buy one. The Chairman and Co-Owner of Cirrus Aircraft says that for the performance that this private aircraft has, for its efficiency, its range and flexibility, it’s less expensive that anything else in the market right now. Commercial Airlines Are Charging For Blankets

Sky Limo Air Charter finds out the latest news surrounding extra fees regarding commercial airlines. According to an article on BusinessInsider.com, if you want a pillow or a blanket in coach on American Airlines it’s going to cost $8 during domestic trips and some international flights longer than two hours. These flights include to and from Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean and Central America. The blanket and pillow will remain free in premium-class cabins and other international flights. American Airlines will sell a blue fleece blanket with an inflatable neck pillow in a clear zippered pouch and will offer a coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase at Bed, Bath and Beyond. JetBlue and US Airways charge $7 for the blanket and pillow set and US Airways also offers earplugs and eye shades with the set.
As you can see commercial airlines are constantly adding fees to their airline ticket, as of May 1st, American Airlines will be charging for the blanket and pillow, but most of the airlines are already charging for checking luggage and buying tickets from a reservation agent.

TSA Reconsiders Requirements On Private Jets

Back in 2008, The Transportation Security Administration considered having new regulations for the private jet industry and smaller airports. Many private air charters and airports thought they would lose business if the TSA really implemented those new rules. They also thought there would be costly changes required on their end. Under that TSA proposal golfers wouldn’t be allowed to carry their golf clubs inside the private aircraft’s cabin, hunters wouldn’t be allowed to carry their rifles into the private jets either. For general aviation and commercial airlines, these rules make sense for security purposes, but not in private aviation. Plus, these proposed changes would have affected any private aircraft that’s more than 12,500 pounds. These new requirements would have meant that the luggage boarding these private jets would have to be x-rayed and more restrictions on what goes onto the private plane. The passengers would also have to have their names checked against a ‘no fly’ list. In the end, after several discussions, the TSA will keep dealing and overseeing the security requirements only on general aviation.

The Private Jet Advantage

These past several years traveling has become a nightmare. What use to be a pleasurable experience is now dreaded by passengers every day whether on their way to a business meeting or a much needed vacation. Commercial airlines aren’t in touch with their customers’ needs anymore. Today, a series of steps are taken to get you on and off a plane. Service is irrelevant which is quite ironic because it used to be what differentiated one airline with another. Today, the consensus is done they are all bad. Extra luggage fees, extra security checks, delays, cancelations, long waits, uncomfortable seats, no food or snacks and so on. This poor traveling experience has led many travelers to try another mode of transportation: The private jet. More and more people are trying to fly on a private aircraft when possible. The experience of course is a much more luxurious one where all the passengers’ needs are take care of and attended to. If you’re looking to try to book a private air charter, consider Sky Limo Air Charter. We provide a full service in terms of private aviation without own fleet of private aircrafts, jet concierge services and everything in between. Expect extra time in your travels, gourmet food onboard, flexible schedule just like yours, no delays, no cancelations and an unparalleled service in the friendly skies.
