The World’s First Commercial Spaceship

We typically talk about private air charters and private jets in this regularly updated blog, but this posting is all about Virgin Galactic’s commercial spaceship called the SpaceShipTwo. According to BusinessWeek.com, the sleek, bullet-shaped spacecraft is the size of a business jet with wide window seats to fly six passengers into space. This revolutionary machine is designed to be carried by a jet before firing its rocket engine to fly beyond the earth’s atmosphere. This spaceship has been under secret development for the last two years in the Mojave Desert. According to the article on BusinessWeek.com, Virgin Galactic is planning to charge $200,000 a ticket, offering passengers two and a half hours of flying time and about five minutes of weightlessness. British billionaire and founder of Virgin Galactic, Sir Richard Branson, hopes to start passenger flights sometime in 2011 from new Mexico after a serious of safety tests. Allegedly, about 300 future passengers have already reserved a sat on the SpaceShip 2 by paying the full $200,000 amount or securing a place with a deposit.
If you don’t have $200,000 but would like to enjoy a private flight all to yourself, charter one with Sky Limo. You’ll enjoy a sleek, designed private aircraft, first-class amenities, a spacious cabin, plush leather seats and an amazing ride in the skies.
