Gulfstream G250 Flies In Israel

According to an article on SavannahNow.com, Gulfstream’s super mid-size G250 business jet just recently completed its maiden flight in Israel. Savannah-based Gulfstream designed and built the private jet in collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries in Tel Aviv. The large-cabin, mid-range private aircraft took off from Ben Gurion International Airport at 8:16 am and flew for 3 hours and 21 minutes while pilots tested the plane’s flight-handling characteristics and performed initial checks. The article goes on to say that the G250 was flown 32,000 feet and achieved 253 knots. The pilot reported that the flight was extremely smooth with no issues. The G250 is a $24 million, 10-seater business jet powered by Honeywell engines and capable of traveling 3,400 nautical miles with a maximum speed of Mach 0.85. The Gulfstream G250 can fly nonstop from New York to London of from London to Dubai. It will be available in 2011.
