Increased Security for Private Jet Charters?

Sky Limo Air Charter found ot that the federal government is trying to increase the security around private jet charters and their passengers. According to MyFoxAtlanta.com the Transportation Security Administration wants to apply the same rules for private aircraft charters as commercial aviation. Business groups are saying it would cost too much, and they can't afford it, especially not right now. They're saying those rules are unnecessary because the private jets aren't target for terrorists. "If you were a terrorists you'd want a bigger bang. An airliner maybe -- but a small plane? We know our passengers day in and day out anyone invited on a private jet are not unknown, they are known to somebody," saidDave Small of the Georgia Business Aviation Association. The TSA plans would require flight crews of planes that are 12,500 pounds or larger to go through background checks, passenger names would be screened against the terrorist watchlist and would ban around 80,000 items on private aircrafts.
